1ST ESSAY COMPETITION 2007
Students of primary education (fifth and sixth grades) of the Public School Ntra. Sra. de la Encarnación took part in the 1st Essay Competition organized by the AMPA and ANNUR. This competition is part of the European project Grundtvig 2 "Living Together".
There were 14 essays and we can conclude the following of them:
- The important influence of media, 80% of essays include sequences that can be taken out of TV news.
- Almost all the essays show a rejection towards the immigrant (sequences of rejection during break at school); but 30% approximately show a total mistrust and even violence towards immigration and immigrants.
Finally, we can conclude that those outcomes could be the reflection of the society in which we live.
Next we present the winner essay belonging to Granada Lucas Real, student of sixth grade.
