SUSTAIN Project

The SUSTAIN PROJECT, presented by the University of Bremen within the Leonardo da Vinci Program, pursues the goal of spreading building automation and management, as well as establishing measures of energy saving, comfort and a control of the impact on the environment, using domotics applications and motivating companies to be in the vanguard of a technology which offers a big volume of business, and therefore, of job creation.

“Establishing building management services in the supply sector by qualification and demonstration”

 

The SUSTAIN project pursues the goal of studying in depth the use of Building Automation (BA), that is, the management through the technological control of buildings in the construction sector of three European countries: Italy , Spain and Germany .

Among others, these are the main goals:

•  Introducing small and medium companies in the working area of Building Automation (promotion, job saving and creation)

•  Qualifying the building trade for a successful usage of Building Automation.

•  Sustainable usage of technologies, that is, saving natural resources and keep happy the user.


The following stages are scheduled for this EU sponsored project:

•  Building regional networks.

•  Analysis of the present, technical and marketing, status including qualification training.

•  Development of the infrastructure needed in chosen qualified centres.

•  Draft of curricula consisting on basic qualification modules.

•  Training of trainers.

•  Curricula evaluation.

Therefore, the new concept will be introduced in specialized centres; curricula and the related educative material will be supported.
